Chattanooga Lookouts end skid, edge Mississippi Braves 3-2

Max Kepler's single to right field with one out in the top of the ninth inning Friday night scored Stephen Wickens and enabled Chattanooga to salvage the fifth and final game of its Southern League series in Mississippi, 3-2.

The Lookouts (7-7) took a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning when a two-out double to center by Dalton Hicks was followed by Miguel Sano's home run to left-center. The Braves (9-5) pulled even in the seventh on Steve Rodriguez's RBI double to left and Matt Lipka's RBI triple to right.

Game one of a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies in Kodak is tonight at 7:05. Alex Wimmers (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Frank Batista (1-0, 0.84) scheduled for the Smokies.
