There wasn't much offense happening for either team in Friday night's Southern League matchup at AT&T Field, but the visitors produced a little more at the plate late and the hosts were especially quiet there in the final innings.

Unable to build on an early lead, the Chattanooga Lookouts gave up two runs in both the seventh and eighth innings as the Pensacola Blue Wahoos won 4-1.

Chattanooga (56-44) took its lead in the first inning when Shannon Wilkerson led off with a double, moved to third on Levi Michael's sacrifice bunt and scored on Max Kepler's groundout.

An error aided Pensacola (44-58) on one scoring play in the seventh, while a leadoff walk and a passed ball figured into the Blue Wahoos' first run produced in the eighth.

Chattanooga failed to get the ball out of the infield in the final three innings, with five of the final nine batters - including the final three - striking out. Kepler was left stranded in the sixth after a one-out triple.

No Chattanooga player had more than one hit, but designated hitter Kennys Vargas was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Each team has won twice during the five-game series, which continues with tonight's matchup at 7:15. Alex Wimmers (6-3, 4.90 ERA) will start for the Lookouts. Pensacola's starter has not been announced.

Tonight is also the Lookouts' popular Used Car Night, a promotion that is in its 23rd year.
