The postgame fireworks were a little more fun Friday night at AT&T Field.

The Chattanooga Lookouts, scoring three runs in the sixth and two in the seventh, held off Mobile's ninth-inning rally for a 7-6 victory.

It was the opener of the Southern League series and of a 10-game home stand for the Lookouts (59-48 overall). They'll face the BayBears (58-51) again at 7:15 tonight and at 2:15 on Sunday.

Shortstop Jorge Polanco, now hitting .295 for the season, provided what would be the game-winner with a seventh-inning single to left field that scored Stephen Wickens and Stuart Turner. They opened the inning with back-to-back singles.

Mobile entered the ninth down 7-3 but scored three runs before J.T. Chargois struck out Garrett Weber swinging with the tying run on second base.

Left-hander Brett Lee picked up his third pitching win, giving up seven hits and three runs in seven innings. The three runs he gave up all came in the second, erasing an early Lookouts lead. Zach Borenstein doubled to left and Rudy Flores singled before Jack Reinheimer lauched a homer to left.

Lee (3-4) pulled it back together and threw shutout ball over the next five innings while striking out five and walking none.

Though giving up two hits, Chargois recorded two strikeouts, allowing him to earn his ninth save.

Down 3-2, the Lookouts recaptured the lead in the sixth. Heiker Meneses singled to center and moved to second on Shannon Wilkerson's sacrifice bunt. Polanco walked and Max Kepler unloaded a three-run homer to right.
