The United States women's national team defeated Costa Rica 7-2 in front of 20,535 fans at Finley Stadium on Wednesday. The match was the second leg of the team's World Cup "Victory Tour."

The team took a 2-0 advantage on goals by Carli Lloyd and Heather O'Reilly before an 83-minute rain delay stopped action. After the delay, the team would add four more goals before the half - a second each by O'Reilly and Lloyd, one by Abby Wambach and an own goal.

Costa Rica had a first-half goal by Cristin Granados, and a second half one by Karla Villalobos on a breakaway.

Alex Morgan scored in the 81st minute for the final margin.

The team will be back in action again on Sept. 17 in Detroit, Mich., against Australia.
