Chattanooga Lookouts break out big bats in rout of Blue Wahoos

The Chattanooga Lookouts scored nine runs in the first two innings before coasting to an 11-0 victory at Pensacola in Southern League action Wednesday night.

The Lookouts (23-27) tallied five runs in the first, with RBI singles by Travis Harrison and Adam Walker followed by Niko Goodrum's two-run double to center field.

They added four runs in the second, which they opened with a Jorge Polanco double to right and a Max Kepler home run to left-center. Polanco homered to left in the third to make it 10-0, and the Lookouts scored their final run in the ninth.

Kepler went 4-for-5 with a walk, Stuart Turner was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, and Goodrum, Harrison, Polanco and Walker each collected two hits as Chattanooga outhit the Blue Wahoos (54-66) 17-3. Goodrum and Polanco each drove in two runs.

Brett Lee (5-4) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out four in seven innings to earn the win.

Game three of the five-game series in Pensacola is at 7:30 EDT tonight. Aaron Slegers (1-1, 3.46) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Tim Adleman (7-8, 2.27) scheduled to start for the Blue Wahoos.
