Biscuits outslug Lookouts, 12-7, in second-half opener

The Montgomery Biscuits won 12-7 over the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts in the Southern League second-half opener for both teams Thursday night.

The Lookouts built a 4-0 lead after two innings, but the Biscuits responded with nine runs in the next two innings, including a six-run second. Chattanooga's Miguel Sano hit his 14th home run of the season in the top of the first, and Adam Walker blasted his league-leading 20th homer in the top of the eighth, but the Biscuits banged out 14 hits off four Lookouts pitchers.

Game two of the five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Jose Berrios (7-3, 3.21 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Austin Pruitt (4-4, 2.99) scheduled for the Biscuits.
