Birmingham's Marcus Lemon singled in Brian Fletcher in the 10th inning Monday night to give the Barons a 5-4 victory after losing the first four games of their Southern League baseball series against the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts.

Fletcher was running for Danny Hayes, who opened the Barons' at-bat with a triple off Brandon Peterson and led Chattanooga to walk two batters intentionally.

The Lookouts were in position to be 5-for-5 in the series until the bottom of the ninth, when Nick Delmonico's two-out double off reliever Alex Wimmers tied the score. Chattanooga took a 4-1 lead in the sixth inning when Jorge Polanco singled to left and drove in two runs. Adam Brett Walker II doubled in another.

Polanco was 2-for-4 in the game, and Shannon Wilkerson scored twice for the Lookouts.

The finale of the six-game series in Birmingham is tonight at 8:05 EDT. DJ Baxendale (6-5, 3.93 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Myles Jaye (12-7, 2.94) scheduled for the Barons.
