Former Chattanooga Lookouts assistant general manager Harold Craw is still in the Southern League but with a loftier title. He's the new general manager of the Jacksonville Suns.

Craw's recent hiring coincided with the completion of the Suns' sale by longtime owner Peter Bragan Jr. to Ken Babby.

"Harold is one of the most accomplished and well-respected executives in minor league baseball, and I am excited to have him lead the Suns," Babby said in a release. "His skill set and leadership will help set the franchise's vision and direction so we can give the fans in Jacksonville a world-class ballpark experience at an affordable price."

Craw has 14 years experience in professional sports, including more than 10 seasons with the Class A Charleston (S.C.) River Dogs - the last two as assistant GM. He was the GM for the single-A Quad City Bandits in the Midwest League before returning to his hometown in 2013 as senior corporate sales executive for the Lookouts. He was promoted to assistant GM before the 2014 season.

He began his career in professional baseball after earning degrees from Emory & Henry College and East Tennessee State.

"It is an honor to have this opportunity," Craw said in the Suns' release. "Jacksonville has such a rich baseball tradition. I look forward to continuing that tradition and growing upon the great foundation laid by the Bragan family."

Joining him as new leaders in the Suns' front office are Linda McNabb as vice president of sales and marketing and Mary Nixson as assistant GM overseeing food, beverage and special events at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
