Kohl Stewart pitched eight solid innings Saturday night at AT&T Field to lead the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 3-2 win over Jacksonville.

Stewart's performance occurred before a packed house of 6,311 at "Used Car Night." It was the 24th annual "Used Car Night" and the 17th consecutive at AT&T Field, with all 17 having sold out.

No other annual Lookouts promotion can claim such a success rate, not even Fourth of July fireworks.

"It's a great night whether you win a car or not," Lookouts president and general manager Rich Mozingo said. "We have seen some life-changing moments through the years. It's just a special night."

The Lookouts trailed 1-0 until the sixth inning, when Levi Michael opened with a triple to right field and Zack Granite was hit by a pitch. An Engelb Vielma sacrifice bunt tied the game, and a throwing error by the Suns allowed Granite to reach third base and Vielma second.

Niko Goodrum then singled to center to score Granite and Vielma and put Chattanooga (21-21) up 3-1.

Brian Anderson's home run to right to open the second inning gave the Suns a 1-0 lead. Jacksonville pulled within 3-2 in the eighth inning on J.T. Riddle's single to center that scored Kenny Wilson, but Jake Reed worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the Lookouts.

Saturday's giveaway, sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Credit Union, featured 11 automobiles.

"You're not going to find better odds of winning a car anywhere," Mozingo said.

Omar Bencomo (3-6, 4.41 ERA) is scheduled to start today's 2:15 game for the Lookouts, with Patrick Johnson (6-6, 3.70) scheduled for the Suns.
