Birmingham Barons fall to Chattanooga Lookouts in game two of series

* Friday's recap: A six-run third inning and a four-run sixth gave Chattanooga a 10-0 lead on the way to a plus-.500 (24-23) record again for the Southern League's second half. Nine of those runs scored with two outs. The third began with a Heiker Meneses walk and a one-out Zach Granite RBI double, and Niko Goodrum and Stuart Turner sandwiched two-out doubles around walks for Travis Harrison and Edgar Corcino before T.J. White's two-run single. Turner led off the sixth with a walk, but there were two outs when Shannon Wilkerson singled, Granite tripled, Engelb Vielma walked, Goodrum singled and Harrison doubled. Granite got RBIs four and five with a ninth-inning single. Chattanooga's Aaron Siegers (9-6) pitched seven innings, allowing six hits with five strikeouts.

* Next up: Game three of a five-game series in Birmingham is tonight at 7:30 EDT.

* Pitchers: Kohl Stewart (6-5, 3.07 ERA) will start for the Lookouts, with Spencer Adams (0-3, 5.82) scheduled for the Barons.
