Chattanooga Lookouts clinch series win in Birmingham

Sunday's recap: Chattanooga's last three hitters in the batting order - Heiker Meneses, T.J. White and Shannon Wilkerson - went a combined 8-for-14 at the plate with five runs scored as the Lookouts clinched the series with a game to spare. Wilkerson broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with a single to right field that scored White, and the Lookouts went ahead to stay in the sixth on RBI singles by Stuart Turner and Meneses. Chattanooga took an 8-1 lead with a four-run eighth that was highlighted by a two-run single to right by Ryan Walker. Ryan Eades, Brandon Peterson, Zack Jones and Luke Bard pitched for the Lookouts, who are 25-24 this half and 61-58 overall.

Next up: The finale of a five-game series in Birmingham is tonight at 8:05 EDT.

Pitchers: Felix Jorge (0-3, 5.06) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with James Dykstra (4-6, 5.70) scheduled for the Barons.
