Lookouts win in 10 innings

The Chattanooga Lookouts picked up their first Southern League baseball victory in their second game of the 2017 season, edging Mobile 4-3 in 10 innings Friday in front of a crowd of 3,186 at AT&T Field.

Tanner English led off the bottom of the 10th with a double, and Nick Gordon followed him with a single to bring English home.

The BayBears scored their runs in the sixth and led 3-1 at the time. Chattanooga got a run-scoring double from Travis Harrison in the bottom of the inning, and Gordon tied it with a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Gordon led the Lookouts' 10-hit attack with a 3-for-4 performance, and English was 2-for-3. Dan Rohlfing's second-inning homer provided the game's first run.

John Curtiss (1-0) got the pitching win in relief.

The third in the five-game series is tonight at 7:15. Luis Diaz is the announced starter for Mobile and Fernando Romero is expected to start for the Lookouts.
