Jumbo Shrimp shut out Lookouts

Friday's recap: Omar Bencomo (2-0) allowed just four hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one to pitch Jacksonville to its third straight win. The Jumbo Shrimp started the scoring in the first inning, when Brian Anderson reached base on a two-out walk, advanced to second when David Vidal walked and scored on Alex Glenn's double. Jacksonville - which had early-season highs by drawing six walks hitting four doubles - added a run apiece in the second, third and eighth innings. Chattanooga left the bases loaded in the seventh and eighth as it was shut out for the second time this season. Lookouts starter Fernando Romero (0-2) went 2 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and three hits while striking out five and walking five.

Next up: Game four of a five-game series in Jacksonville is tonight at 6:05.

Pitchers: Felix Jorge (0-0, 4.50) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Mike Kickham (0-0, 3.60) scheduled for the Jumbo Shrimp.
