Settling a score was no problem Sunday afternoon for the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Less than 24 hours after suffering their worst loss of the season, the Lookouts erupted for eight runs in the first inning, led 12-0 after two innings, 17-1 after five and cruised to a 17-5 triumph over the Jackson Generals at AT&T Field. It was the largest margin among the 74 victories this season for Chattanooga, with Saturday night's 14-3 loss to the Generals representing the worst of its 39 defeats.

Lookouts catcher Brian Navarreto went 3-for-5 with five RBIs on Sunday, while center fielder Levi Michael was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Chattanooga scored seven runs before Jackson could record its first out, with Nick Gordon's leadoff double to left field followed by Ryan Walker's single to left. Jonathan Rodriguez drew a walk to load the bases, then Andy Wilkins drew a walk to score Gordon.

T.J. White then singled to center to score Walker and Rodriguez, and Max Murphy was hit by a pitch to load the bases again. Michael doubled to left to score Wilkins and White, and when Navarreto singled to right to score Murphy and Michael, the Lookouts had their early touchdown and extra point.

Before Sunday's game, the Lookouts placed outfielder LaMonte Wade on the disabled list with a sprained thumb. Wade entered Sunday's Southern League schedule ranked 12th in batting with a .277 average, with the University of Maryland product also having accumulated 18 doubles and 52 RBIs in 95 games.

The two teams will continue their series tonight at 7:15, with Fernando Romero (11-6, 2.60) scheduled to start for the Lookouts and Alex Young (7-6, 4.06) for the Generals.
