After a rough week, the Chattanooga Football Club enters tonight with a lot on the line.

A lot.

Coming off a week in each they lost back-to-back 2-1 games to Memphis City FC and FC Inter Nashville, the club will face the Georgia Revolution in the final regular-season home game tonight at Finley Stadium at 7:30.

The two losses dropped CFC (4-2-4) into a tie for third with Memphis in the Southeast Conference West Division, with one week left to play in the regular season. The Chattanooga team still has two matches remaining – tonight as well as a match at FC Carolina on Saturday.

New Orleans sits in first with a 6-0-4 mark and 22 points, with Nashville in second with a 5-1-4 record and 19 points.

CFC needs at least one win this week to keep pace in the standings. Only the top three teams from each division make the playoffs, with the top seeds earning byes while the second and third seeds play each other on July 11. Winners of the play-in matchups play in the semifinals on July 14.

The timing of this week's matches couldn't be better for the Chattanooga club, though, as Georgia and FC Carolina have combined for only one win and 14 losses.

"The fact of the matter is that we have to take every match seriously," CFC head coach Bill Elliott said in a press release. "We have a strong core of veteran players, and we'll depend on them to help us bounce back from Wednesday."
