Edgar Corcino, Nick Gordon pace Lookouts to third straight win

Edgar Corcino had three hits and Nick Gordon scored twice as the Chattanooga Lookouts topped Montgomery 5-2 at AT&T Field for their third straight victory.

The Lookouts improved to 26-21 before an announced crowd of 2,868 on Thursday night.

Montgomery went up 1-0 in the first inning, but Chattanooga went ahead 2-1 later in the first when Corcino and Jonathan Rodriguez had singles to center field before LaMonte Wade doubled to right-center. The Lookouts made it 3-1 in the second inning on a Levi Michael double to left that scored T.J. White.

Gordon opened the fifth inning with a home run to right to make it 4-1, and it became 5-1 in the seventh when Gordon walked and wound up scoring on a wild pitch. He now is batting .303, while Corcino is at .315.

Game three of five between the Lookouts and Biscuits at AT&T will be tonight at 7:15.
