Chattanooga starter Zack Littell kept his team competitive for the six innings he pitched Thursday, and the Lookouts eventually put away the Montgomery Biscuits 11-2 in a Southern League baseball game in front of a crowd of 1,415 at AT&T Field.
The Lookouts are the North Division champions for both halves of the season.
Littell improved to 5-0 on the season. The right-hander gave up two hits and two runs, one earned. He walked three and had four strikeouts.
Chattanooga was able to build on the one-run lead it had with a five-run seventh and a three-run eighth. The runs in the seventh came on Nick Gordon's three-run home run with one out and T.J. White's two-run shot an out later.
White ended up 3-for-5 with the other hits being a triple and a double. He scored three runs, as did Alex Perez, who was 2-for-3.
Edgar Corcino matched Gordon with two hits and three RBIs.
The final regular-season series of the year continues with the second of five games today at 7:15 p.m.
