Adam Brett Walker, an outfielder for the defending Southern League champion Chattanooga Lookouts, led all of Class AA baseball in 2015 with 31 home runs.
Daniel Palka has a long way to go to catch Walker, who now plays for Triple-A Rochester (N.Y.) in the Minnesota Twins organization, but he is emerging as the top deep threat for this year's Lookouts.
The outfielder and former Georgia Tech standout hit a grand slam during the third inning of Friday night's game against Tennessee at AT&T Field, and the Lookouts needed it in a 6-5 win over the Smokies in 11 innings before 5,433 fans.
Travis Harrison's two-out single in the bottom of the 11th scored Leo Reginatto, with Harrison battling Tennessee reliever Miguel Mejia in a nine-pitch at-bat.
Harrison fouled off five pitches before connecting on a 2-2 count to score Reginatto, who had drawn a one-out walk, stole second and moved to third on Dalton Hicks' groundout.
Chesny Young tied the game at 5 in the eighth inning for Tennessee by singling to left to score Carlos Penalver.
Palka's homer to right-center scored Zach Granite, Hicks and Harrison. It was his seventh this season, one more than the next two Lookouts have combined.
The Smokies pulled into a 4-4 deadlock in the fifth inning on an RBI single to center by Jeimer Candelario and an RBI double to center by Billy McKinney. Chattanooga went back up 5-4 later in the fifth when Granite had a bunt single, went to third on a Reginatto double to left and scored on a Harrison groundout.
Stephen Bruno's single to right in the second scored Candelario to give Tennessee its lone lead of the night at 1-0.
Aaron Slegers (2-4, 4.21) is scheduled to start tonight's 7:15 game for the Lookouts, with Tyler Skulina (2-2, 4.14) scheduled for the Smokies.
