Titans add Terrell Williams, Keith Carter, Tony Dews to coaching staff

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have hired Terrell Williams as defensive line coach, Keith Carter as offensive line coach and Tony Dews as running backs coach.

Williams has been the Miami Dolphins' defensive line coach the last three seasons. He also was on the Oakland Raiders' staff from 2012-14.

Carter was the Atlanta Falcons' running backs coach in 2017 after spending two seasons as Atlanta's assistant offensive line coach. The Falcons ranked ninth in the NFL in rushing this past season.

Dews is a longtime college assistant who spent 2017 as West Virginia's running backs coach. His previous college stops included stints coaching Michigan wide receivers (2008-10), Pittsburgh tight ends (2011) and Arizona receivers (2012-16).

They're the latest additions to new coach Mike Vrabel's staff.

The new Titans staff already included offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, defensive coordinator Dean Pees, quarterbacks coach Pat O'Hara, secondary coach Kerry Coombs, outside linebackers coach Shane Bowen, inside linebackers coach Tyrone McKenzie and receivers coach Rob Moore.

Vrabel also had already announced he retaining Arthur Smith as tight ends coach and keeping Craig Aukerman on staff as special teams coach. Aukerman had been an assistant special teams coach on Mike Mularkey's Titans staff this past season.
