Lookouts hang on to beat Biscuits

LOOKOUTS 7, BISCUITS 4

Friday's recap: Chattanooga used a five-run outburst at the plate in the sixth inning and recovered quickly enough on the mound in the ninth to win the series opener at Montgomery. With the Lookouts down 2-1 after five innings, T.J. White's single scored a tying run and kept the bases loaded with no one out, and Ryan Walker's one-out triple gave the Lookouts a 5-2 lead. Nick Gordon's RBI double made it 6-2, and White's two-out RBI double in the ninth provided Chattanooga's final run. The Biscuits scored their final runs in the bottom half on a wild pitch and throwing error with the bases loaded, but Mason Melotakis struck out Justin Williams to end the game.

Next up: Game two of a five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 7:35 EDT.

Pitchers: Stephen Gonsalves (1-2, 2.45) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Greg Harris (3-4, 4.47) scheduled for the Biscuits.
