The Mobile BayBears scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning Monday and defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-4 at AT&T Field in a Southern League baseball game in front of an announced crowd of 4,533.
Chattanooga (33-24) had rallied from being down 2-0 and took the lead with a four-run seventh inning.
However, Mobile (30-26) got within a run before Brennan Lund's single tied it with one out in the ninth. An out later, Jared Walsh's home run proved to be the difference.
Sean Miller went 2-for-3 for the Lookouts and had an RBI and scored a run. Alex Perez and LaMonte Wade also had two hits apiece for Chattanooga, and Brent Rooker drove in two of the runs.
Tyler Stevens (1-0) earned the pitching win in relief. Reliever Williams Ramirez took the loss.
The series continues tonight at 7:15.
