The Chattanooga Lookouts led all North Division teams Tuesday with seven selections to the 2018 Southern League All-Star Game.

This year's league extravaganza will take place June 19 at Regions Field in Birmingham. The votes were collected from Southern League managers, general managers and radio broadcasters from all 10 clubs, with all players on league rosters as of May 30 eligible.

Making the North roster for the Lookouts were outfielders LaMonte Wade and Zander Wiel, starting pitchers Omar Bencomo and Randy LeBlanc and relief pitchers Ryne Harper, Williams Ramirez and Todd Van Steensel. Birmingham and Jackson each had five players named to the team, while Montgomery and Tennessee each had four.

Bencomo recently was called up by the Minnesota Twins to Triple-A Rochester (New York) after going 4-0 with a 2.08 earned run average in 12 games with the Double-A Lookouts, including six starts.

Entering Tuesday night's game against Mobile at AT&T Field, Wade had a .303 batting average with 25 RBIs, while Wiel was hitting .310 with 29 RBIs. Wade will be making his third straight appearance in a midseason all-star game, having earned an invitation to the Southern League event last year and the Midwest League's all-star game in 2016 as a Single-A Cedar Rapids (Iowa) outfielder.

LeBlanc is 6-1 with a 2.17 ERA but has been on the disabled list, while Harper is 5-for-5 in save opportunities and is coming off a May in which he had an 0.77 ERA. Harper, Ramirez and Van Steensel have combined for 15 saves.

Former Lookouts pitcher and LSU quarterback signee Zach Lee also was voted to the North team. Now a member of the Montgomery Biscuits, Lee is 6-1 with a 2.53 ERA.

The North roster is subject to change in the days ahead due to promotions, trades or injuries. The North starters will be announced Thursday.
