Lookouts lose third straight to Shuckers

The Chattanooga Lookouts suffered their third consecutive defeat Sunday afternoon, falling 6-3 to the Biloxi Shuckers before an announced crowd of 1,902 at AT&T Field.

Biloxi broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning when Max McDowell hit a leadoff double to center field and Luis Aviles Jr. followed with a one-out RBI double to center. The Shuckers added insurance runs in the ninth inning on RBI singles to center by Troy Stokes Jr. and Lucas Erceg.

Chattanooga dropped to 1-3 in the Southern League's second half and to 37-36 overall.

The Lookouts took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on a two-run home run to center by Jaylin Davis, who finished 3-for-4. They pulled even at 3-3 in the sixth when Andy Wilkins tripled and scored on a throwing error.

Wilkins had a second consecutive 2-for-4 showing and is hitting .364.

Game five of the six-game series is tonight at 7:15. The scheduled starting pitchers are Zack Brown (6-0, 2.53) for the Shuckers and Kohl Stewart (3-4, 5.11) for the Lookouts.
