Weather halts, then postpones Chattanooga FC match with Atlanta Silverbacks

The Chattanooga Football Club's match against the Atlanta Silverbacks started Wednesday night at Christian Heritage School in Dalton, Georgia, but was postponed to a later date due to inclement weather.

The match was scoreless about seven minutes in when storms caused a two-hour delay. It had originally been scheduled to be played at Christian Heritage, was moved to Chattanooga Christian School in hopes of a bigger crowd and gate - though still technically a home match for Atlanta - and then moved back to Christian Heritage on Wednesday as mandated by the league.

CFC (5-2-3) is back on the pitch Saturday at home against Greenville FC. CFC has slid into second place in the National Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference standings behind the New Orleans Jesters, who moved in front of CFC with a 2-1 win over Greenville on Wednesday.

The Jesters (6-3-2) have 20 points in 11 matches for a 1.82-points per match average, slightly ahead of CFC's 1.8.

Saturday's kickoff at Finley Stadium is set for 7:30.
