Lookouts win fifth in a row, 11-5 at Mobile

The Chattanooga Lookouts extended their Southern League winning streak to five games with an 11-5 victory Saturday night at Mobile, Ala.

Chattanooga already was up 2-0 entering the third inning, when Zander Wiel's leadoff single to left field was followed by Chris Paul's double to left, T.J. White's RBI single to left and Alex Perez's RBI single to center. LaMonte Wade gave the Lookouts their biggest advantage at 7-0 in the fifth inning with a three-run home run to center.

The BayBears scored three of their own in the bottom of the fifth, but Chattanooga had another three-run at-bat in the seventh. Edgar Corcino followed three walks and a force-out at home with a two-run single, and Wade scored on a wild pitch.

Corcino was 2-for-4 with two walks and matched Wade's three RBIs, and Tanner English was 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored. Nick Gordon, Perez, Paul and White also had two hits each in the win. Randy LeBlanc (4-1) was the winning pitcher.

Now 17-12 for the season, the Lookouts will go for the series sweep today in a game starting at 3:05 p.m. EDT. They will make a game-day decision on their starting pitcher; Jesus Castillo (2-2, 3.70 ERA) is scheduled for the BayBears.
