Montgomery sent 12 batters to the plate in the second inning Thursday night at AT&T Field, scoring seven runs that held up in a 10-6 triumph over Chattanooga before an announced crowd of 2,616.

The loss was the fifth straight for the Lookouts, who dropped to 28-19.

Chattanooga jumped out to a 2-0 lead, opening the bottom of the first inning with a Tanner English double to left field and a Brent Rooker home run to left. The Biscuits opened their productive second inning with five hits that resulted in four runs off Lookouts starting pitcher Kohl Stewart.

Stewart was ejected for arguing balls and strikes, and relief pitcher Sam Clay didn't fare much better as the Biscuits added three more runs. A Nick Solak two-run double to right in the third inning increased Montgomery's advantage to 9-2.

One of the few highlights for Chattanooga after that occurred in the seventh inning, when Edgar Corcino homered to right for his fourth homer this season.
