NEW YORK (AP) - The competitors in the annual Fourth of July hot dog eating contest at New York's Coney Island prove that size doesn't matter.
The top four contestants weighed in Thursday at City Hall with host Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Seven-time male champion Joey Chestnut was 205 pounds. He hopes to beat his record and last year's second-place finisher, 130-pound competitor Matt Stonie, by eating 70 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
One-hundred-pound two-time female champion Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas will try to eat more than 45 hot dogs Friday to defend her title.
Thirteen women and 17 men will compete in front of a live crowd of about 30,000 and a TV audience of about one million.
