Volkswagen today announced its first five tenants on its onsite supplier park set to open early this summer.
The companies are Chattanooga Seating, Faurecia, Magna Exteriors & Interiors, Mtek and Thyssen Krupp. Two other suppliers will be announced later.
The companies will create about 500 new jobs.
"Locating the supplier part onsite is a key component of our plans in Chattanooga," said Frank Fischer, CEO of the Chattanooga operations of VW.
The company currently employs more than 650 people in Chattanooga.
