VW's Mueller to lead Porsche

Volkswagen AG has picked Matthias Mueller, its top car-model strategist, as chief executive officer of Porsche AG.

Mr. Mueller will replace Porsche CEO Michael Macht, who will succeed Jochem Heizmann as Volkswagen's production chief, according to VW and Porsche.

Mr. Heizmann will run a new unit overseeing VW's truck holdings.

Mr. Mueller, 57, led product management at the Audi luxury brand for four years through 2007 before shifting to Volkswagen.
