Ann Trundle

Ann Howard Trundle, 85, of Chattanooga, left this world, Monday, July 26, 2010 for her heavenly home.Mrs. Trundle was born on Feb. 10, 1925 in Chattanooga, where she lived, worshipped, and worked. She grew up in Highland Park area and graduated from Central High School in 1943. She attended St. Andrews Methodist Church.She married her high school sweet heart Dr. David Frank Trundle in 1948, and they were married 57 years until his death in July 2005.She was a member of First Cetenary United Methodist Church for 40 years. Mrs. Trundle worked at Olan Mills and had two children. She was an active member of the Dental Auxillary and was president from 1967-68. She was also a long time member of the nine hole women's golf group at the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club.Mrs. Trundle was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grady and Sarah Howard; sister, Sara Frances Bradford; brothers, Henry Grady Howard and Thomas Berry Howard; and husband, Dr. Frank Trundle.Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Suzanne Trundle Felts (Chuck) and son, Dr. David Frank "Bubba" Trundle Jr. (Kathy). She had five grandchildren, Beth, Charlie, and Robert Felts and Trey and Michael Trundle. She also has several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the management, staff, and employees of the Manor House Assisted Living of Chattanooga for the four years she stayed there. After she moved back home, a special thank you to Betty Greene, Linda Greene, Monica Kyles, and Shirell Hampton for their personal care, love, compassion, and loving attention to Ann. Also, thank you to Hospice of Avalon for their care, patience, and loving compassion.Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. David Harr officiating.Interment for Ann will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband, Frank.Pallbearers will be grandsons Charlie Felts, Robert Felts, Trey Trundle, Michael Trundle and Tanner Hall.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.Memorial contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 19, Chattanooga, TN 37421, or to UTC Athletics, 615 McCallie venue, Dept 6806, Chattanooga, TN 37403The family will receive friends today from 4-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
