NEW HOPE Elizabeth Ann Pittman, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, after an extended illness.She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Grace Allen; husband, Dan Pittman Jr.; sister, Margie Stewart; brothers, James Allen and John Stewart; grandson, Noah B. Pittman and nephew, Scott Allen.She was a retiree from Cigna after 28 years of service and an active member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church.Survivors include her children, Paul and Donna Pittman, Mitzi and Don Payne and Kim Cannon; two grandchildren, Tyler and Megan Payne; one great-grandson, Blaine Pittman and several nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with four sisters, Annabelle Crownover, Linda Willis, Janie Kirkpatrick and Jean Stewart; and one brother, Charles "Goodboy" Allen.A celebration of her life will be held at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg on Friday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. CDT with Brother Bill Lassiter officiating.Burial will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg from 48 p.m. CDT today, Nov. 11, and from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday, Nov. 12.Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Chattanooga at Hospice of Chattanooga 4411 Oakwood Drive Chattanooga, TN 37416 or www.hospiceofchattanooga.org.Condolences may be sent by visiting www.rogersfuneralhome.com.The family thanks everybody for their prayers.
