Jimmie McCallum

Jimmie Earl McCallum, 62, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, in Jacksonville, Fla.He was a 1966 graduate of Howard High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of Nazarene Baptist Church while living in Chattanooga and when he moved to Florida, became a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Jacksonville.He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood and Leona McCallum; brothers, Johnny, Bill and Clarence.Survivors: son, Patrick McCallum; brother, Early (Mattie) McCullum, of Jacksonville, Fla.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends, Toy Lee Brown, Pastor Robert Chaney Jr. and many other friends.Funeral: today at noon in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Robert L. Chaney Jr. officiating.Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.The body will lie in state today at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
