
Charles Ray Lucas, 70, of Apison, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010.He retired from Southern Adventist University in 2005 where he had been Director of Plant Services for 21 years. He came to this area after 22 years of service in the Engineering Department at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla. He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Collegedale, Tenn.Survivors include wife, Marilyn; daughter, Bonnie Freeland, both of Collegedale; son, David, of Apison; brother, Edwin Lucas, of Collegedale; sister, Lee Weaver, of Kennesaw; granddaughter, Katrina Freeland, of Collegedale, and many nieces and nephews.A chance to visit with the family will be today, Nov. 26, from 6 8 p.m. at the Garden Plaza Greenbriar Cove in Collegedale. Pastor Jim Herman will conduct a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 27, at 5 p.m. in Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church in Collegedale, Tenn.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Adventist World Radio.Send condolences at www.CovenantFuneral.com.
