Quillie Mosely

Quillie Mosely, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, in a local healthcare facility.He was a WWII Army veteran. He was a faithful member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his father, Jenie Mosely; mother, Nancy Jernigan; brothers, W.D. Mosely and Johnny Lee Mosely; sisters, Catherine Thomas and Atlay Strickland; and son, Willie James Jackson.Survivors: daughter, Minnie Troupe, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Quinita Lombardi, Antoinette Turner and Jarrett Troupe; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Gonzalez and Aniya Bryant; devoted sister and caregiver, Minnie Blanks; nephew and caregiver, Walter Blanks Jr., both of Chattanooga; stepsisters, Kizzie West, Clara Coleman, Carrie Jackson, Daisy Christian, all of Meridian, Miss., and Ruthie Mae Gardner, of Muskegon, Mich.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral: Friday at noon at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel R. Jackson officiating.Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.The body will lie in state Friday after 9:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and one hour at the church before the service.
