Kirby Chastain

Kirby G. Chastain, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011.He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Dixie Yarns.Kirby was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; and a son, Kelly.Survivors are three children, Lisa Hale and Vic Chastain, both of Chattanooga, and Kirby G. Chastain Jr., of Pikeville; six grandchildren, Joshua Hale, Tony Chastain, Tonya Chastain, Cacy Chastain, Eric Chastain and Kenny DeTullio; three great-grandchildren, Jackson Chastain, Lilli Chastain and Oliver Bledsoe; and a brother, Ray Kelly Chastain, of Kingston.Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Interment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Share your memories on line at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
