Lyman Prince

Lyman "Buddy" Prince, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist faith. He was previously employed with Modern Patterns and was a Marine Corp. Veteran, having served during the Korean War. Buddy loved animals, never met a stranger and was dedicated to God, his country and his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Carrie Prince; sister, Dorothy Leonard; and brother, Billy James Prince.Survivors include one nephew, Allan Prince, of Chattanooga; three nieces, Sharon Dill, Tanya Rhine and Kay Leonard, all of Lincolnton, N.C.; cousin, Wayne Rodgers, of Wildwood, Fla.; special friends, Junior Moore and David Vaughn, both of Chattanooga; and numerous other friends.Memorial services will be held, at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.There will be no visitation at the funeral home.Contributions may be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Chattanooga Veteran Center, 951 Eastgate Loop Road, Bldg. 5700, Suite 300, Chattanooga, TN 37411 423-855-6570 in memory of Lyman "Buddy" Prince.Arrangements by W.
