ROSSVILLE Shirley Hughes Shoemaker, 72, died Sunday, July 31, 2011.She is survived by son, Den-nie (Shirley) Shoemaker, of Ooltewah; daughter, Kathy (Tommy) Burns, of Red Bank; brothers, Gene Hughes, of Fort Oglethorpe, Edgar Hughes, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., and Howard Hughes, of Fort Oglethorpe; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Her funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shad Smith officiating.Burial will be in New Home Cemetery at Henagar.Visitation will be 9 a.m. today until time of service.
