Shelby Lane

Shelby Jean Lane passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.She was born in Chattanooga Sept. 30, 1940; she attended high school in California where she graduated valedictorian.She joined the U.S. Marine Corp and received an honorable discharge as a sergeant. She was of the Baptist faith.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lara Bedwell; son, John Eric Lively.She is survived by her mother Lucille Elkins, of Dunnellon, Fla.; sisters, Joy (Eddie) Wilson and Carolyn Rabun, of Dunnellon, Fla.; aunt, Inez Uhl, of Fort Oglethorpe and her son-in-law, Mark Bedwell, of Ooltewah.Graveside service will be 11:30 Wednesday in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visitation will be from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday in the Strickland Chapel located at 1724 McCallie Ave (Corner of McCallie and Hawthorne Streets.J.
