Jack Gouger

WHITESIDE Brother James W. "Jack" Gouger, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2011. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired Coal Miner.The Rev. Gouger was a longtime member of the Whiteside Church of God where he served the Lord in several capacities. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Hazel Gouger; brothers, Frank, George, Pete and Charlie Gouger; sisters, Annie Sanders, Louise Keef and Azee Albertson. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-laws, William Dale and Wanda Gouger, Raymond "Buck" and Barbara Gouger; grandchildren, David Gouger, Stephanie Howard and Kristy Avery; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. CDT on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Whiteside Church of God with Brother Luke Williams and Brother Jerry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Ladds Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation today, March 13, 2011, from 11-8 p.m. CDT at Tate Funeral Home and on Monday, March 14, 2011, from 11 a.m. CST until the time of the service at Whiteside Church of God.
