Arizona Clark

Arizona Liggett Clark, 88, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 29, 2011, at her residence.Mrs. Clark loved the Lord, her family, friends and church. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith since July 1955. She has served as womens supervisor and church mother.She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Gertrude Liggett Jr.; brothers, James Henry Liggett and Harvey Cornelius Liggett; husband of 54 years, Will Clark Jr.; daughter, Delexie Clark; and sister, Lucille Odena Lewis.Survivors include: brothers, George (Clydean) Liggett, Willie French (Shirley) Liggett, John McKinley (Jacqueline) Liggett; sisters-in-law, Jo Evelyn Liggett, Nellie Clark Ingram and Irene Clark; brother-in-law, Thomas (Varah) Clark; cousin, Frank (Ezra) Liggett; daughters, Sarah Cornelia Clark of Philadelphia, Pa., Carol Clark and Willena Clark Carter, of Chattanooga; son, Harold Clark, of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren, Kellie Katrice Carter, Tito Jermaine Clark, Donnetta NiCole Williams (Robert) Logan, Sheldon Terrille Wiley, Binta Qiana Tolbert, Malcolm Ashlee Clark Carter, Quinton Tennille Clark, Christopher George Clark Smith, George Earl (Christina) Smith Jr., Eusi Hamilton and Stacey Hamilton; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.The family expresses its appreciation to the caring staff at Home Health Care of East Tennessee Inc. and Hospice who took very good care of our mother for many years.Per her request, there will be no funeral.The body will lie in state from noon to 5 p.m. today, May 4.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave., 423-265-4414.
