Katherine Sivley

Katherine Hart Sivley, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in a local hospital surrounded by her family.Katherine had been a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church since early childhood and was in the Lydia-Joy Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed singing with the Senior Gospel Group and retired from Proffitts after 30 years of service.She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Sivley Sr.; her parents, Tom and Mamie Lou Ely; and sister, Tommie Lou Cobble.Survivors are a son, William C. (Faye) Sivley Jr., Lakesite; four daughters, Harriett Jones, Ooltewah, Katie (Joe) Yother, Signal Mountain, Pamela (Edwin) Yancy, Rock Spring, Ga., and Terrie (James) Mullinix, Hixson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Funeral services are noon Thursday in the Chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.Please visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
