Harriett OKelley Jones, 83 of Hixson, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Standifer Place.She was born May 10, 1928 in Buford, Ga., to the late Everett and Ida Mae Power O'Kelley.She also was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles O'Kelley and James O'Kelley; and sister, Mary O'Kelley.Harriett is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Jones, of Hixson; sons, Steve (Theresa) Jones, of Baltimore, Md., and David Jones, of Chattanooga; daughter, Connie (Terry) Norwood, of Athens, Ga.; grandsons, Andrew Jones, Cody Jones, Zachary Jones and Justin Reuther; granddaughters, Leslie Norwood Vaughn, Holly Norwood Samples and Megan Jones Brock; sister, Martha Fanning; and several nephews and nieces.Harriett worshipped at Clear Creek Church of Christ.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martin Boyd Christian Home.Please share your memories of Harriett on her on-line guest register at www.vanderwallfh.com.The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
