WHITWELL Harvey Eugene Layne, 57, passed away Friday night, Sept. 30, 2011. at the Grandview Medical Center.He was of the Church of God faith.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Eugene and Elizabeth Odell Layne.He is survived by four sisters, Thelma McGowen and Brenda (Donnie) Kilgore both of Whitwell, Judy (Bobby) Winter, Ringgold, Ga., and Reva Castle (Ron) Berry, Rising Fawn, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held today 2 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brad Bryant officiating.Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery.Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, Whitwell, Tenn.
