Collin Dowler

Collin K. Dowler, 11, of Ooltewah, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 due to injuries sustained in a jet ski accident.He was a fifth grade student at Wallace A. Smith Elementary School. Collin was active in football, basketball, golf and cross country. He loved spending time on the lake and enjoyed fishing and swimming.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Layniere King Armstrong.Survivors include his parents, David and Ann Dowler; brother, Dillon Dowler, all of Ooltewah, TN; maternal grandfather, Charlie H. Armstrong, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; paternal grandparents, Gary and Gerry Dowler, of Centre, Ala.; aunt, Dana Dowler McKenzie; two uncles, Wade McKenzie, Chick Armstrong, all of Atlanta, Ga.; and several cousins and nieces.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, at McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Fred R. Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 4 8 p.m., Monday, April 9, at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wallace A.
