Lena Clayton

Lena Varner Clayton, 85, of Hixson died on Friday, April 6, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of Burks United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman J. Clayton; daughter Betty Ann Combs; Brother Paul Varner.Lena is survived by her son, Roy (Becky) Clayton, of Hixson; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Crutcher and Jewel Jordan, brother, L.C. Varner.The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. today at the North Chapel.Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Fraley. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Hwy 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
