LaFAYETTE Sherman "Mickey" Frye, 73, died Saturday, April 07, 2012.Mickey retired from working for Walker County.Preceded in death by parents, Hershel Marvin, and Blanche Mae Pickard Frye, sisters, Flowette (Flo) Middleton, Betty (Joyner) Frye Williams, and Charlene Frye Hix, brothers, Marvin Hershel Frye, and Charles Frye.Survived by loving wife of 42 years, Edith Hill Frye; daughter, Regina (Mike) Murdock, of Chickamauga; sons, Mickey Bill Frye, of LaFayette; and Michael Shane (Heather) Frye, of Ringgold; sisters, Janice (Gary) O'Bryant, of LaFayette; brother, Bert (Teva) Frye, of Canton, Ga.; grandchildren, Damon Murdock, Courtney Frye; step-grandchildren, Ethan Lynch, Eon Lynch, and Eriana Lynch; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Camryn Gilliam; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Monday at 2 p.m. Service conducted by Rev. Jay Neal, Rev. Rick Frazier, and M.C. Tolbert.Interment in the Vickery Hill Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
