Sybil Larison

DUNLAP Sybil Louise Havey Larison, 101, died peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2012.She was preceded in death by in death by her husband of 49 years, Archie Lee Larison; parents, James Henry Havey and Agnes Rose Brand Havey; great-grandson, Nicholas Pradia.Mrs. Larison was born and raised in Jonesboro, Ark. The Larison family moved to Oak Ridge, Tenn. in 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Larison moved to California in 1973. Mrs. Larison returned home to Knoxville in 1997. Mrs. Larison was a devout Roman Catholic and worshipped at Holy Ghost Catholic Church during her residence in Knoxville. She has been a resident of Dunlap for almost four years and was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Dunlap.Mrs. Larison is survived by sons, James Paul (Mary Jean) Larison and Stephen Robert (Patricia Ann) Larison; daughters, Agnes Louise Larison (Francis Robert) King and Mary Ann Larison Moyer. Mrs. Larison was the proud matriarch of a large extended family that includes eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, along with special friends, Kathy and Dean Friton, and many nieces, nephews and their families.A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. CDT Saturday, April 14, 2012 with the funeral mass at 11 a.m. CDT at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Scholz officiating. Her remains will be returned to Ontario, Calif., to be laid to rest with Mr. Larison.
