Ted Alexander

Theodore "Ted" William Alexander Jr., 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at his home.Ted served in the US Army in WWII and again in the Korean War 1951-1953, US Air Force and then in the Air National Guard 1953-1978. Ted was a 1950 graduate of Auburn University with a BS in mechanical engineering. He began working for DuPont in 1950 then was called to the Korean War for two years and resumed his career with DuPont in 1953 and retired after 30 years of service. Ted then founded his own quality control consulting business.Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Zachry Alexander; daughters, Lisa Alexander and Suzelle (Earl) White; son, Theodore William (Sharon) Alexander III; grandchildren: Christina Ann Alexander, Jessica Leigh Alexander; Douglas Wright Alexander, Zach Hutcherson, Nick Hutcherson, John C. Williams and Jame R. Williams; one great-granddaughter, Billie Annabelle Littman; brother, Richard Charles Alexander; nieces, Dawn Alexander Garrett and Sherri Reynolds; and nephew, Rick Alexander.Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev.
