Clarence B. Lusk, 86, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nellie Ruth Boston Lusk, in 2009. He was a member of Suck Creek Baptist church for over 50 years where he served as choir director and deacon for several years. Clarence was an Army veteran of WWII. He received the Bronze Star and WWII Victory Medal. He worked for Red Food Store as Meat Department Manager for 20 years and retired from Dixie Savings Stores.Survivors include his daughter, Judy (Steve) Ford, of Chattanooga; sons, Bennie (Ellen) Lusk and Michael Lusk, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren: Ben Lusk Jr., Perry Ford, Christopher Lusk, Tammi Harvey, Charity Lusk and Christy Sellers; six great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Lusk of Chicago; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Rev. Doug Tate and Rev. Jerry Yother officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park with military honors.Grandsons and nephews, Ben Lusk Jr., Perry Ford, Christopher Lusk, Kelvin Clark, Carlos Clark and Ervin Smith Jr. will serve as pallbearers.Flowers are accepted or those who wish can send memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.Visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
