Mercedita Mitchell

Mercedita "Cedi" Mitchell, separated from this life to join her sister, Anne Woodall and mother, Mercedita Shellem on Monday, April 16, 2012, after a battle with lung cancer. She was born June 9, 1946 in Frankfort, Ind. and her love of friends, family, and her flowers inspired us all and made us better people. She was employed by US Xpress for over 20 years.Survived by two daughters and their husbands, Ashley Mitchell Watkins, husband, Mikey "Cabana Boy" Watkins and Merci "Dee" Mitchell, husband, Gypsie Frank; six grandchildren; three brothers, Chris and Mark Shellem, Mike Woodall; and two sisters, Michele and DeeDee Shellem; father, Frank Shellem; and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.A memorial service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga,TN 37416.The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday April 21, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
